Fire at Farnham house closes major road

A fire at a house in Guildford Road, Farnham caused the closure of a key road in the town.
On Monday (December 30), Surrey Fire and Rescue were called to the property shortly before 11am.
Police closed the road between Homebase and the traffic lights at East Street as firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze, with a cordon placed across Guildford Road.
A spokesperson for Surrey Fire and Rescue said “We were called at 10.58am to a house fire in Guildford Road, Farnham. The fire is now out and one fire engine remains on scene.”
