Woman arrested on suspicion of murder after man's death in Wrecclesham

A woman in her 40s has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a man at an address in Wrecclesham.

Surrey Police were called to the property in the village near Farnham shortly after 8am on Sunday, August 2, following a report of the unexpected death of a man.

Residents reported seeing a large police presence in Buttermer Close, off Riverdale in Wrecclesham, after officers were called to the address.

An investigation was launched into the circumstances surrounding the man's death.

As part of that investigation, a woman in her 40s was arrested on suspicion of murder. She has since been released on conditional bail while enquiries continue.

In a statement, Surrey Police said: "We were called to an address in Wrecclesham, near Farnham, shortly after 8am on Sunday morning (August 2) following a report of the unexpected death of a man at the location.

"An investigation is underway and a woman in her 40s was arrested on suspicion of murder. She has since been released on conditional bail pending further enquiries."

The force said the investigation remains ongoing and that further updates will be provided when possible.

Police have not released the man's identity or disclosed the circumstances of his death.
