Author Mick Collins included Alton's Palace Cinema in his book

People interested in the history of Alton’s Palace Cinema have another source of information to enjoy.

Following the news that a book about the cinema based on moviegoers’ memories is coming out in the summer, author Mick Collins contacted the Herald.

He said: “I wrote a book fairly recently on the subject of architect R A Thomas’s cinemas and this includes a chapter featuring the Palace. The book is called The Cinemas of R A Thomas.”
