Farnham artist Susie Lidstone has taken her home town with her for an exhibition at The Corner Gallery in Carshalton.

The Corner Gallery describes itself as “the smallest independent gallery in Surrey with the biggest artists”.

It is hung with Susie’s watercolours of flowers, animals, scenes, doorways and buildings, many of them Farnham ones.

Described by gallery owner Jackie Khan as “the queen of merchandising”, Susie has brought cards, water bottles, cups, coasters, cushions, notebooks, toiletry bags and even a deckchair with her, all decorated with her artwork.

And at Jackie’s request, Susie - pictured with some of her work at The Corner Gallery - is selling Farnham calendars because of the “interesting buildings” in them.

Jackie said: “It’s a colourfest! It’s so cool.”
