Five UCA students in running to win public art competition

Five UCA Fine Art students are finalists in a competition to design a new piece of public art for Farnham.
The competition to design a “notional” piece – meaning there is no guarantee the winning design would be built and installed – has been organised by the UCA and the Farnham Public Art Trust.
Students have been challenged to design a piece, produce a small model, and an accompanying business proposal to mirror the real-world commissioning process.
The reward for the victor is a £500 cash prize donated by the Estelle Trust with the Mayor of Farnham announcing the winner on April 16 during a ceremony at the UCA.
The entries will be on display in the Foyer Gallery from April 17 to 29.
