Plastic Free Farnham is encouraging gardeners to buy their plants at Rowledge Village Fayre, which is aiming to be plastic-free this year, on May 26.

The group is focusing on eliminating two kinds of single-use plastic - plastic plant pots and plastic compost bags.

It recommends donating the pots to a gardening club or community farm, and to make compost rather than buy it.
