ALTON Lions Club would like to thank everyone who contributed to its Christmas Gift Appeal.

There was a Christmas postcard drop, and a Wishing Well collection at Sainsbury’s raised £320, while Alton School pupils and Sainsbury’s customers donated gifts.

President Atul Patel said: “This kindness and concern for others in our community has enabled Alton Lions to deliver an unprecedented number of vouchers and gift bags, helping to bring a happier Christmas to those families and individuals in need. We wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy new year.”
