Paul Coates

The film Asteroid City (12A) will be the next Phoenix Cinema attraction at The Phoenix Theatre and Arts Centre in Bordon on March 27 at 7.30pm.
In a 1950s retro-futuristic TV special, a host (Bryan Cranston) introduces a documentary on the creation of a fictional play, Asteroid City, by playwright Conrad Earp (Edward Norton). The play unfolds at a youth astronomy convention in the desert town of Asteroid City.
War photojournalist Augie Steenbeck (Jason Schwartzman) arrives with his family, facing personal challenges. A romance blossoms among the characters, and a UFO incident puts the town under military quarantine. The play’s events become national news, leading to a revolt against the military.
The movie also features Scarlett Johansson, Tom Hanks, Jeffrey Wright, Maya Hawke, Matt Dillon and many more.
