Farnham Beerex 2024 welcomed more than five thousand visitors and volunteers to Farnham over three days last week with many attending more than once.

The Friday evening session and both Saturday sessions were sold out and welcomed visitors from as far as South Africa, New Zealand and the USA, others from various European countries, the Channel Islands, and many counties around the UK.

All were treated to a great selection of cask ales, craft beers, ciders and perries and a new street food offering that included main sponsor Heaven’s Kitchen, Taste the Difference, Crumpy’s Smoke Shack, Llada Thai, Simon’s Pies, Sprinkle of Saffron and Mama Lourdes Pizzas.

Live bands helped create a brilliant atmosphere as well as entertaining the crowds starting with Brobed Stils led by Brodie Mauluka, soon to be Farnham’s new mayor.

On Friday afternoon, Keith Harris the Beerex chairman introduced Ralph Carter in the Main Hall and thanked him on behalf of all who have enjoyed Beerex for having had the original idea back in 1975 to create the first Farnham Beer Exhibition in 1977.

An idea that had led to ‘Beerex’ having raised more than £1 million to support local good causes.

Beerex chairman Keith Harris said: “Beerex is a great event to be involved with and it was a pleasure to see so many people having such a good time.

“My thanks to all who came along, to all the volunteers, other supporters and sponsors and of course the organising committee. We look forward to 2025.”
