THE AWARD for the most energetic start to 2024 goes to members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Whitehill and Bordon.

Members gathered at 6am on New Year’s Day to pray together for world peace and 2024 to be full of blessings.

And while many residents were recovering from the night before, the group then took part in litter picks around the Forest Centre and part of Worldham.

More than 20 people, including several local volunteers, took part in the clean-up.
