<p>‘If a robin in a winter landscape is not the most popular Christmas card subject, it must be very high up the list,’ writes Malcolm Harris, of Beech. ‘As a child I had a fondness for cards featuring Victorian, horse drawn mail coaches, but they have been out of fashion for decades and seem to have now completely disappeared. I wonder, given time, if the same could happen to the robin?’</p>
