Alton’s second team thrashed Steep by 268 runs in a pre-season friendly on Saturday.

Ryan Hale retired after bludgeoning 102 as Alton posted 286 for seven off their 40 overs. Steep were bowled out for 18, with Tom Andrews (two for three), Arul Appavoo (two for three), Wilf Bridger (three for ten) and Kartik Tank (two for one) taking the wickets.
